The NZXT N7 Z790 ATX motherboard (model N7-Z79XT-W1) is built for high-performance, visually refined, and future-ready desktop systems. Engineered with Intel’s Z790 chipset and LGA 1700 socket, this board supports the latest 12th, 13th, and 14th Gen Core processors. It integrates advanced features — including DDR5 overclocking, robust VRM design, integrated full-metal covers, and deep integration with NZXT CAM for lighting and fan control — to deliver a balanced, high-end platform for gaming, content creation, and enthusiast builds.

Design & Aesthetics

NZXT maintains its signature minimalistic aesthetic: the N7 Z790 comes with optional white or black metal covers that seamlessly mask most components, producing a clean and unified look. The top M.2 slot features a built-in heat spreader integrated into the cover. 

The board is also designed for ease-of-use: the I/O shield is pre-mounted, cable headers are neatly placed, and most RGB / fan / power connectors are accessible and well-labeled. 

Power Delivery & Thermal Design

To support high-end CPUs and overclocking, the board uses a 16 + 1 + 2 DrMOS power stage design, backed by a robust copper PCB and integrated VRM heatsinks. 

Thermal efficiency is improved via the full-metal cover, which doubles as additional passive cooling for some components under the cover, especially the top M.2 area. 

Memory & Overclocking

This motherboard supports DDR5 memory across 4 DIMM slots, with XMP / EXPO support and overclocking potential beyond 7200+ MHz (OC) in optimal configurations. 
Maximum memory capacity is 128 GB using 32 GB modules.

NZXT’s CAM software integrates deeply with the N7 Z790, giving users control over RGB lighting, fan curves, and system monitoring. The board even incorporates some of the features of NZXT’s RGB & Fan Controller directly into the board, eliminating the need for separate modules in many cases.
