The NCTS Type-C 12-in-1 hub / docking station transforms a single USB-C port on your laptop or tablet into a fully featured workstation. It merges video output, power delivery, data expansion, and network connectivity in one compact adapter — especially useful for users of ultrabooks, MacBooks, Chromebook, and other USB-C devices requiring more I/O.

Video / Display Support

  • Offers dual HDMI outputs capable of 4K@30Hz videostream.

  • Also includes a VGA port supporting 1080p@60Hz for legacy displays.

  • On Windows, supports MST (Multi-Stream Transport) so you can extend to three displays: two via HDMI + one via VGA.

  • On macOS, the external displays will mirror (i.e. identical content), as macOS does not support MST.

 Power & Charging

  • The hub includes a Type-C PD (Power Delivery) port, which supports up to 100 W of power input to charge your laptop or pass-through power while other ports are in use.

  • Note: PD port is for power input, not for data.

 Data & Connectivity

  • USB ports: 2 × USB 3.0 (5 Gbps) + 2 × USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) for peripherals like external HDD, flash drives, keyboard, mouse, etc.

  • SD + TF card readers on board — supports both simultaneously.

  • RJ45 Ethernet (100 Mbps) interface for wired connectivity.

  • 3.5 mm audio / mic port for headphone output or audio pass-through.

 Physical & Other Details

  • Cable length: ~12.5 cm

  • Enclosure: Likely aluminum or alloy shell (common in hubs) — helps with heat dissipation

  • Compatibility: works with Windows 7/8/10/11, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, etc.

 Use Cases & Scenarios

  • Turn a USB-C only laptop into a full desk setup: multiple monitors, wired network, external storage, audio, etc.

  • Travelers and remote workers who need to carry one hub instead of many adapters

  • Creators, designers, developers who often multitask across multiple screens

  • Use in meeting rooms or classrooms to connect projectors, monitors, network, and devices all at once

 Limitations & Considerations

  • The Ethernet port is 100 Mbps (not gigabit) according to spec sheet.

  • MacOS only supports mirror mode (not extension) for multiple monitors.

  • Using all video outputs simultaneously may reduce maximum resolution to 1080p on some ports.

  • The PD port should be used for power in; it does not support data transfer.

  • High-power USB devices (e.g. some external HDDs) may draw more than available hub current; use powered hub or external power source if needed.
