Build & Mounting System

At its core, the K649PY-RGB features a gasket-mount structure, where the keyboard plate is cushioned by gaskets rather than rigid screw mounting. This helps absorb vibrations, reduce harsh resonance, and deliver a more refined, soft typing feedback. 

Additionally, Redragon integrates sound-absorbing foam layers between the PCB and top/bottom covers. These foams further damp internal cavity noise and improve acoustic signature by minimizing hollow echoes and metallic “ping.” 

Layout & Key Design

This keyboard uses an 82-key compact layout that preserves essential function row keys while trimming the footprint compared to full-size boards. It’s often marketed as “78%” or “75% style with top function row zone.”
