Part of Honeywell’s PD45 Series, the PD45S combines speed, precision, and industrial durability with modern connectivity and a streamlined user interface. It supports both thermal transfer (TT) and direct thermal (DT) print methods, making it suitable for applications ranging from temporary shipping labels to long-life compliance and asset tags.

Industrial Design

The PD45S features an all-metal chassis and side-opening design that withstands industrial environments. Its aluminum die-cast frame provides rigidity, while the clamshell cover offers easy access to media and ribbon paths.

Honeywell’s dual sensor technology (transmissive + reflective) ensures accurate tracking of media gaps and black marks—even with small or irregular labels. The printer can handle labels as narrow as 5 mm with vertical print accuracy within ± 0.5 mm.

Print Quality & Performance

The PD45S0C model uses a 203 dpi (8 dots/mm) printhead and achieves speeds up to 250 mm/s (9.84 in/s). Its optimized heat-balance control maintains sharp contrast even on continuous heavy cycles.

A precision pressure adjustment mechanism ensures even ribbon tension and consistent density across the full 4.25″ (108 mm) print width.

This variant (suffix 0C) comes equipped with:
