Printing Method & Durability

Thermal transfer technology uses a ribbon (wax, resin, or mixed) that transfers ink onto the label surface through heat. This makes the output far more durable compared to direct thermal—resisting fading, smudging, or heat exposure. It’s suitable for product labels, asset tags, shipping labels, compliance markings, and more.

• Print resolution: 203 dpi (8 dots/mm), which is sufficient for standard barcodes, text, logos, and common label use cases. 

• Max speed: Up to ~6 inches per second (≈ 152 mm/s) under optimal conditions. 

• Media & ribbon capability: Supports both 74 m and 300 m ribbon rolls; capable of handling a broad media width range suitable for 4-inch labels.
